I used this mat today for yoga, which I haven't done in fifteen years, if not more. My biggest problem with any excersises on the ground is that my back, my knees, my everything with a bone in it hurts, since I'm skinny and just bony. This mat worked really well though. I did feel a bit of discomfort once or twice, but nothing so bad. I also find it useful that it has those designs or marks on it, which was helpful to sort of gauge where I was putting my hands and feet for some poses.
