Right out of the package, this solar shower was impressive. Thicker walls and a sturdier hanging method than our last shower, plus it has a screw-on cap over the hole used to fill the shower. Our last solar shower had a plastic plug that we struggled to pull out (and that finally broke from its tether so we had to keep track of it). Also, this new solar shower has a strip that can be used to tell the approximate temperature of the water inside. It's not super easy to read but it does give some indication of how warm the water is. I think this shower will last for years!
I use this several times per day on a semi truck to wash my face, hands and dishes when I don't want to walk to the truck stop bathroom at night. My husband was hesitant to bring a bag of water into the cab but it has proven its worth. Would highly recommend. Have only been using it for a month so durability has yet to be assessed but I would absolutely buy another if it broke. The nozzle slips out if pulled too hard but slides right back in.
I honestly expected this to get around 80 degrees, but within a few hours in the sun it got to 104 degrees. I actually had to add in cold river water to get to a comfortable shower temp. I've never had these sun showers work well, but this one is an outperformer. It's so good I bought two and now just add this to a bucket of cold water for a long, hot shower while camping, after fishing, etc. I love this shower.
