Upgraded Smart Water Solar Pump

This is a nice solar powered system. Instructions are crap as usual. When installing make sure all ur lines are the same length. Make sure the pump is well above ur water container. I was not crazy about the drippers, I like the smaller L shaped drippers for the roots. Once u figure out how to set it it works great. If u do not get lift it's something set up wrong cause this has power. That's why all lines have to be equal in length.

Used it for some apartment balcony planter boxes. It’s feeding off of a 5 Gallon water jug I had laying around. Works surprising well for a very “made in China” product. Instructions are not super clear but it isn’t hard to figure out either. Putting the water on a stand to make it the same height as the plants seemed to help too. I made sure not to make a siphon when laying out the tubing, if I were to have this indoors I would definitely make sure the end of the tube was higher than the water. Might get a puddle if you don’t.

I charged its battery fully then put it on the solar panel and have never had to charge it since 2 &1/2 months. The battery still says full so the panel and it seems to be maintaining pretty well. My timer is set 90s every 12 hours so it’s not running a ton but still, other than filling the water I don’t touch it.

All and all I wanted something to auto water my outdoor planter boxes while I’m out of town and this thing does it better than my roommate. Anything bigger than some planter boxes or flower pots would probably need something a little better.

So I had a problem since instructions show one model and they shipped a different one? But since that was the only problem, this is easy to putt to get her and start. I have a greenhouse with auto drippers now.Update- so I noticed it has a slow steady leak. That’s about a week in with the drippers. Having multiple water sources doesn’t really work. And if it had a way to edit time without running it, that would’ve been clutch still though 5 stars. I’ll update in a month.

The solar panel charges the pump and for my schedule (1 min every day) it’s never died. Pressure is good. The tubing and fittings are bare bones and you have to keep the intake water below the pump or it will leak, but to dip your toe into automatic irrigation it’s perfect.
