I like that it can be hidden. And I like the two lines and the length of the cable. Each lines (as I have it) extends 15-ish feet and holds 6 or 7 pieces of clothing. The cable could go much further, but I don't have that kind of space. The cable has a rubberized coating that "grips" the clothes. And makes it easy to clean, though I retract it after I use it, so it doesn't stay out in the elements to get that dirty. It was the perfect solution for my backyard. Might get some mini metal cleats to take some of the strain of the little plastic feet.
I bought this specifically to hang clothes indoors to decrease shrinkage and possible stains from setting. I love the fact that I can hang an entire load of delicates on this line without a problem. When it comes to shirts and pants I need to put those on a hanger first and then put the hanger on the line. Set up with super simple. It took me a while to figure out how to tighten it in a way that I felt most comfortable with. I definitely think this is worth the money because I'm someone that wants to make sure that my clothes last for as long as possible.
Update: We have used this all the time for the past 3 months. We use it for HEAVY stuff all the time. It can handle plenty of weight. The plastic finally got brittle where it locks and snapped. Totally worth every penny for what it did for 3 months!
Great value and super easy to install. The locking mechanism works well and keeps the line pretty straight even with wet clothes. I'm impressed with this product.
I've only owned this for a short while and will update if any catastrophes arise. So far this is working as expected. I was a little shocked at how large it is, I never looked at the specifications beforehand so I was imagining it to be the size of your hand but it's actually quite large. Might want to look into that if you are planning on having it mounted someplace where you thought it'd go unnoticed.
Excellent quality much better than the last one I purchased from Argos which only lasted a few months.
