I was surprised at how much I like these. I run 2-3 miles about five times per week, and they provide decent support and are comfortable. For the price, they can’t be beaten. I wear XL; my measurement above the knee is 19.5” and 17” at the knee, and the size seems perfect. I had tried a more expensive brand that was Amazon’s choice, and I like these better.
Offers good protection but isn't too bulky. I use my for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and can fit it on under my gi without any issues. I'm 6', 170-175 lbs and a medium fits perfectly. I'd recommend using a smaller size if you're in between 2 if you don't want it to slide around while rolling/training.

To ensure a comfortable fit I place the brace in position while standing. Take a few steps and adjust before taking off for the day. Sometimes the slightest adjustment to how it covers your knee can make a significant difference.
Also, and many people do not pay attention to this, but use the brace with a pair of shoes in excellent condition. If your shoes are worn and the heels are worn over it pulls your knee. You will have a much better experience with shoes in good condition.
I am old enough to have some arthritis in my knees and this knee brace (actually I wear one on each knee when I run) holds everything straight up and down while running so that what is left of my cartilage works the best it can and I run pain-free. If I didn't wear these while running, I would be seriously debilitated in a week or two. I've been using these for over 5 years and buy new ones every year and half or so (the Velcro wears out when used daily week in and week out). Great braces!
